Terms of service.
The rules that govern your use of TrustHampshire Bank. Read them once, then forget them — most of this you'd guess anyway.
Contents
1. Accepting these terms
By creating an account, downloading the app, or using any part of our service, you agree to be legally bound by these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, legally able to enter into a contract in your jurisdiction, and not subject to economic sanctions in territories where our partner banks operate. Personal accounts are for individuals only; business accounts are for legally registered entities.
3. Account & KYC
You agree to provide accurate information when you open an account and to keep it up to date. We are required by law to verify your identity (Know Your Customer / KYC). You agree to provide documents or information we reasonably request for verification.
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. Don't share your password. Use a strong second-factor method.
4. Acceptable use
You must not use TrustHampshire Bank to:
- Send or receive funds in furtherance of any illegal activity.
- Evade sanctions, taxes, or anti-money-laundering controls.
- Facilitate gambling, adult content, or other restricted categories without prior written consent.
- Abuse, defraud, or impersonate any person or entity.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or otherwise extract data from our systems without our written permission.
5. Fees
Personal checking accounts have no monthly fee and no minimum balance. Business accounts and certain premium services may carry fees that we disclose clearly before you incur them. Wire transfer and FX fees are itemised on every confirmation screen.
6. Suspended accounts
We may suspend an account if we suspect fraud, sanctions risk, or violation of these terms. We'll notify you when legally permitted and provide instructions for resolution. See our contact page if you believe a suspension is in error.
7. Termination
You can close your account at any time from your dashboard or by emailing support. We may terminate accounts that violate these terms with appropriate notice except where prohibited by law. Upon termination, your remaining balance is returned to you via your linked bank account.
8. Limitations of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of (a) the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) $500. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages, except in cases of our gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
None of these limits affect your statutory consumer protection rights.
9. Disputes & arbitration
Most disputes can be resolved by emailing support@trusthampshire.com. If we can't resolve it informally within 60 days, disputes are resolved through binding individual arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association — except where you have non-waivable rights to court remedies under local law.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. If changes are material, we'll notify you by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated terms.
